Maybe a good point is to find and optimize our best posts to make better SEO for them in Google and other search engines. It is using Google Analytics to find the good keywords and then optimize it.

When you find what you were looking for you can use this:

I’m looking for non-spammy ways to beef up keywords in the Page Title, Title Tag, post tags, image attributes, H1, H2, H3 etc. Anywhere but changing the keywords in the URL. Having an optimized page is good, but the main search engines can still work with it. Having linkbacks is a big factor. This can increase your pagerank, moving your site higher above the loser sites. You can post the best content in the world, but if nobody sees it, then it is pointless.

To add to Wade’s post, backlinks ARE a big factor BUT only if they’re good quality backlinks from high PR sites. Having 100 backlinks from PR0 sites will do very little for your ranking if you’re optimising for a competitive term that has 20 or so PR3 sites at the top of the SERPs. Having links from high PR is far more beneficial!

Also there are a lot of good tools out there to help you with everything from keyword trends through to suggested phrases and even a heatmap of your site to show you where people’s eyes are drawn when they go to your page. There are also people like myself who collate these tools into one site to make things easier.

Thanks you posted such an informative article. SEO have a good optimized page. Still the main search engine can work with it. whoever says that pagerank is important from links to rank high is wrong it is more important to have a link from a site that is topic related to yours and also the linking text, if i have a link from a high PR web site thats off topic it wont do much good
