Maybe a good point is to find and optimize our best posts to make better SEO for them in Google and other search engines. It is using Google Analytics to find the good keywords and then optimize it.

When you find what you were looking for you can use this:

I’m looking for non-spammy ways to beef up keywords in the Page Title, Title Tag, post tags, image attributes, H1, H2, H3 etc. Anywhere but changing the keywords in the URL. These SEO basics are usually considered when writing the post, but sometimes you discover “surprise winners” you never expected would send you such good traffic.

Tags in WordPress 2.3

Tags… well everybody should be familiar with them.

In the release of WordPress 2.3 tagging was officially introduced into the core WordPress application. Prior to this implementation many of us used plug-ins like Ultimate Tag Warrior, Jerome’s Keywords, Simple Tags and Bunny’s Technorati Tags. Since the release of WordPress 2.3 many if not all of these plug-ins have now been upgraded and work with WordPress 2.3 and later. So if you’re using them and like them you can still use them.

After WordPress 2.3 release tags are now part of WordPress core system. This was confusing for me and many other people because we use with good score other tags plugins.

In past I use permalinks with date in posts URL’s and finally i go to that point when i see that has no future. Well most of people used to have dates in URL’s because in past that was very popular in permalinks posts about SEO.

…Matt’s recommendation to avoid using dates in your posts URL’s. In that post, I explained how to adjust your permalink structure to remove the dates. Some concerns where then expressed in the comments about making the switch to a permalink URL and the possibility of broken links. This is a legitimate concern for those that rely on old inbound links and search engines for their incoming traffic, so I decided to provide the solution in a new post

Every WordPress user got this in his panel (sidebar of you post/page) but not everybody uses it.

If you aren’t a person that is fairly concious of search engine optimization when blogging, you probably having given much thought to the Post Slug field in your WordPress write panel.
